What this journal is for
Olympus Journal brings three kinds of looking onto the same page: practical orientation to ancient Greek temple architecture, close attention to materials and decorative details, and critical reading of modern classical imagery. We write for curious general readers, students beginning a topic and visual practitioners who want to use historical references responsibly.
The journal is not an excavation report, a museum catalogue or a substitute for specialist scholarship. Its job is to make a careful first route into the subject, show the sources behind factual claims and state when an image is a contemporary invention.
